Northern Neck Electric Cooperative (NNEC) is proud to announce Glenn Purcell has been selected as vice president of technology and services effective January 30, 2023.

Purcell holds degrees from both Southern Wesleyan University and Greenville Technical College, and he holds an MBA from Webster University. Purcell brings over 20 years of utility experience to NNEC with most of that with electric cooperatives. Most recently, he was vice president of technology and services at Habersham Electric Membership Corporation.

In that role, he guided the cooperative’s strategic planning process, led the cooperative’s fiber build out, and managed the external relations and communications. He has also held roles at GRIDSERVE, Old Dominion Electric Cooperative, Landis+Gyr, Greystone Power Corp, and New Horizon Electric Cooperative. Purcell is a veteran of the United States Air Force.

As vice president of technology services for NNEC, Purcell is responsible for leading the cooperative’s technology integration and the achievement of its strategic goals. He will also manage the information technology and public relations teams.
