Northern Neck Electric Cooperative (NNEC) promoted Valerie Hinson to Vice President, Corporate Services.

Hinson will be responsible for spearheading NNEC’s efforts to recruit and retain top talent and the protection of the co-op’s workforce. She will also oversee the management of safety and security and administration.

In her position as Human Resources Administrator and Administrative Assistant, Hinson has been responsible for staffing, employee relations, compensation, training, and employee benefits. Throughout the last year, she was instrumental in maintaining the health and safety of the cooperative’s workforce throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hinson has thirty years of experience at NNEC. She is a graduate of Virginia Tech and when not at work enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She currently serves on the Richmond County YMCA Board and the Richmond County Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.
