How Does SurgeDefense Work?

SurgeDefense covers part or all of the cost to repair or replace certain household electronics, appliances, and equipment damaged by electrical surges. With SurgeDefense, you get added protection directly through NNEC, ensuring your equipment is repaired or replaced quickly and easily.

What is an Electrical Surge?

An electrical surge is a short burst of excessive, unwanted energy on a circuit, which can damage your electronics and appliances over time.

Program Options and Pricing

You have two options to choose from:

• Base Program: $6.95 per month, per residence. Covers up to $2,000 in repairs or replacements per year.
• Max Program: $8.95 per month, per residence. Covers up to $4,000 in repairs or replacements per year.

Charges for the program will appear on your monthly electric bill. The first payment confirms your acceptance of these terms.

Filing a Claim

If an eligible appliance is damaged by an electrical surge, you must:

1. Request a claim form within 7 business days of the surge.
2. Complete the claim form, listing all damaged items.
3. Provide a repair invoice from a Qualified Service Provider within 45 days of receiving the claim form.

Important: All claims related to a single surge event are considered one claim.
