Cooperative Helping Hands Association is the not-for-profit organization established by the Northern Neck Electric Cooperative employees. The purpose of the Cooperative Helping Hands Association is to raise money to benefit local charitable organizations. The employees of Northern Neck Electric Cooperative raise funds through activities such as bake sales and their annual golf tournament. The Cooperative Helping Hands Association conducts bake sales in the lobby of NNEC on Good Friday and the Friday before Halloween. Members of the Cooperative Helping Hands Association vote each year to select local organizations for receiving donations.

Northumberland County Family YMCA Branch Director Cristian Shirilla  accepts a donation from Cooperative Helping Hands member Vivian Diggs (right) for the Annual Strong Communities Campaign. This campaign funds scholarships for the Guardian Program which ensures no child is left out for the inability to pay to participate in YMCA Programs.
