AUGUST 14 STORMS RESULT IN 4,000 OUTAGES

Northern Neck Electric Cooperative restored power to all members who are able to have electric service today at 11:30 a.m after scattered storms early this morning, August 14, resulted in approximately 4,000 power outages. Outages were concentrated mainly in the Newland, Menokin, Stratford Harbor, Tidwells and Coles Point areas of Richmond and Westmoreland Counties. NNEC linemen worked from the middle of the night through this morning to get electric service restored to all members.
